FEATURING

Agosto Cuellar

Dubbed as a “Wild Card” by Tim Gunn, for his unique approach to auditioning for Project Runway, Cuellar is the founder and producer of Runway En La Calle, a 10 year old project that pioneered the 50′ outdoor runway experience in the West Side of San Antonio, Texas. The designer has showcased his work in Paris, New York and Texas, bringing an Avant-Garde twist to his cultural, eco-friendly designs coining  his esthetic as Barrio Folk Baroque. The Fashion Activist’s new boutique, Augustine, is located at Blue Star Arts District in San Antonio, TX.

Bad Behaviour

Artists from Austin, TX, James Inman and Melanie Alva, create purpose through fashion, art and a vibe. Not to be listed under the clothing brand spectrum, it is safe to say that nothing this label does is ordinary. With every exhibit and collection comes a story, and this time around, their creations truly embody their belief that fashion is art.

Gabriela Congrains

Gabriela Garcia Congrains is a Colombian born, Texas based fashion designer. Before graduating from La Arturo Tejada Cano in Bogota in 2013 Gabriela took the time to travel the world and study various fashions in places like Paris and Peru. After developing her own style she went on to form Congrains Designs and in 2019 had her first fashion show called Bow in San Antonio. Furthering the CFDA’s mission to strengthen the impact of American fashion in a global economy, CFDA Connects was created to skill share and connect domestic markets to the pulse of the American and global fashion industries through CFDA resources. This includes professional and business development, education, trade events, supply chain/local manufacturing, social impact, and sustainability. CFDA Connects officially launched this past April with ten select regional organizations across the U.S. gaining its support, with the Texas Fashion Industry Initiative serving as its founding member and its program, TEXAS FASHION WEEK™, serving as the resource the CFDA will use to discover new Texas talent.
