Voting Action Items (URGENT)

Hello Board! We are voting on two important items in regards to the insurance for TFII and Texas Fashion Week™ events. We also need to secure the venue for the Texas Fashion Industry Awards. The Tobin Center for Performing Arts has been our home for Fashion Awards since its inception in 2015 and they have offered to honor the pricing for the venue with only a minor increase for Production due to their Union pay increase for 2022. Also, please keep in mind that though the alternate venues have a larger capacity, we have not sold out the event at the Tobin in the past.

This vote is for the TXFW insurance coverage that is required to reserve the KLRN that was voted on for the TXFW events. We have the option to purchase insurance for the event period or for the year which would be the most economic option. The venue quotes for Texas Fashion Industry Awards will also be present below. Please read all descriptions carefully for an informed decision and submit your votes no later than EOB Saturday, July 30th.

One-Time (Daily Rate)

  • Minimum at $150 per day

    • Quote $1337/yr or $111/mth
    • Total comprehensive package: General Liability +Commercial Property & Workers Comp (forward thinking-best for Non-profit growth)

3. Hiscox Insurance

    • Quote $350/yr or $29.16/mthly 
    • Coverage: $1million general 3rd party/ $2million aggregated max 

TFIA Venue Options:

Witte Museum

  • Capacity: Reception MAX 1,000
  • Starting at $7100 (4 hour slot)
    • Additional time is $1000 per hour
  • Includes:
    • 4 hours of set up time, 4 hours of event time
    • (50) 60” round tables
    • 500 chairs (additional chairs are extra)
    • A 12’x24’ stage
    • Access to the Zachry Family Acequia Garden. 
  • Add-ons
    • Audiovisual & Lighting exclusively provided by Inspire AV $4,000
    • Food & Beverage by approved catering (Pay 25% catering fee to Witte)

  • $6,000 Nonprofit Rate
